SYNIKISMOI – A Festival ^ sheds light on unknown aspects of various neighbourhoods in the city of Elefsina. Extending across more than one district at a time, it focuses on their different features, and on bringing various parts of the city together. This section encourages and amplifies all kinds of inclusivity, and sparks the creativity of the city’s inhabitants as a means of coexistence. It is a complex festival that includes the performing and visual arts, installations, in situ performances, symposiums, and participatory initiatives, as well as other informal and unexpected modes of engagement. It activates public space, leading to its meaningful celebration. By actively participating in the creation of these initiatives, citizens become the dramatis personae of the overarching artistic programme
