What’s “BLOOM & DOOM”?
Is it a procession, a guided tour, a party or an activism action?
A wandering clan of young people leads the audience in an urban ritual toward the city. Each member of the audience is guided by a child who takes care of him/her, in an intimate relationship.
Hand in hand we cross the city looking for a sense of the future. During the path, the clan of young people transmit to the public (the adults) their knowledge about adaptation, about how to live in a collapsing world, how to keep dreaming.
They could be in trouble. We could be in trouble.What is the danger if the biggest risk is caused by us adults, day by day?
BLOOM & DOOM is conceived as a system to communicate the emergency of climate breakdown we all are facing and inspire people to take actions now towards a more sustainable future.
BLOOM & DOOM travels and takes place in various European cities. In each one, the people who participate create a unique event. In Elefsina it is implemented in the framework of the Eco Culture Festival, with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute.
The italian artist, Caterina Moroni, offers a series of workshops to a local group of children, aged between 6-11 y.o., and then the children guide the adults in an immersive experience!
