Mystery 11 Ma: Change of arrival time & Useful Information

For your convenience and to ensure the smooth execution of the performance Mystery 11 Ma, we would like to ask you to carefully review the following useful information.

-Point of arrival – ticket/accreditation office: Elefsina Old Town Hall (Nikolaidou pedestrian street)
-Arrival time: 18.30
-Performance venue: Eleusis archaeological site
-Entrance will not be permitted after the performance begins.
-Duration: 60 minutes

The performance involves walking. Due to the rules governing archaeological sites and for the safe movement of the spectators (the ground is rocky in places, with soil and gravel, uneven marble and wooden steps, etc.), it is recommended that spectators wear comfortable clothes and footwear that ensure smooth movement and do not cause damage to the monuments (e.g. heels).

The performance takes place using only natural light. As visibility will gradually decrease, spectators should follow the instructions of the staff closely and not deviate from the designated route.

The performance is suitable for spectators over 14 years of age.
It is not accessible to wheelchairs and disabled persons with severe mobility difficulties.

The following are not permitted:

-Smoking and consumption of food and beverages.
-The use of mobile phones during the performance.
-Taking photographs with or without flash, recording and filming during the performance.
-Throughout the route, event staff members will be there to guide the audience.

Before your arrival, please locate the parking spaces around the archaeological site by clicking here. Note that from August 31 to September 5, roadworks will be carried out on Pangalou Street.

Mystery 11 MA is a production by 2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture, supported by the Ephorate of Antiquities of West Attica. The performance is realised in the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0” with funding from the European Union – NextGenerationEU.

Mystery 14 Ηuman Requiem in Eleusis is one of the main works of 2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture, which will be presented in the archaeological site of Elefsina from 29 September to 1 October.

Mystery 169 If the Wind Blows by Amsterdam-based international visual artist Mariko Hori explores the relationship between language and the city, prompted by the Japanese proverb which goes “If the wind blows, the barrel makers prosper”, which means that any event can bring about an effect in an unexpected way.
