On September 24, as part of the Eco Culture Festival, organized by the 2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture, Mystery_38 Music from the Houses, will take place.
On Saturday afternoon, we follow a route, under the directorial curation of director Georgia Mavragani, through the Pontian quarter of Elefsina, with selected “home” music flowing into the public space through the doors and windows of the houses. We walk around the place and listen to the route’s musical composition, picking up the thread of its history to end up in the district’s central square (Filikis Eterias Square).

In the forty-five minutes of this acoustic – and not only – walking experience, we become tourers and witnesses of the life of the inhabitants of the Pontic settlement of Elefsina as it is revealed, in real time, through the music and the sound of their houses. It is enough to walk two of the blocks of the settlement and we will feel like we are residents and part of this welcoming place and its special history.
