Mystery 112 Maria Papadimitriou | The Theatre of Energy or Friendship

The starting point of the workshops was the most precious thing we have today, the concept of Friendship. Maria Papadimitriou, continuing her long-standing interest in cultural events and collective actions that draw from the place and its people, created a series of workshops of artistic experimentation. These workshops tested artistic practices based on human relationships and their social context, the environmental unconscious of the region and craft intuition, where different temporalities and myths, fragments of archaeology and industry, human and non-human traces, personal memories and creative tricks coexist, helping us to navigate the dark forest of modern life.

As the artist states: “Our vision, for the residents of Elefsina to participate in the imaginary of creation on an equal footing with all the other artists of the Capital of Culture, has become a reality.”
