2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture, with the support of the Municipality of Elefsina, continues the film screenings at Cine Eleusis in June, following the great success of last month’s program featuring contemporary Greek cinema.
Cine Eleusis hosts a rich and diverse film lineup: the mysterious film “Conclave” directed by Edward Berger, the multi-award-winning “Anora” by Sean Baker (winner of five Oscars and the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival), the animated film “Despicable Me 4”—perfect for students on summer break—and the French comedy “Paulette’s Recipe” directed by Jérôme Enrico.
Behind-the-scenes intrigue of one of the world’s oldest and most secretive councils for the election of a new Pope, a Cinderella-like tale of female empowerment blending fairy-tale and social realism, the fourth adventure of everyone’s favorite little yellow heroes, and a unique comedy set in the suburbs of Paris—these films will accompany the first month of summer in Elefsina.
