Aiming at shaping the cultural development conditions of the next decade, the “Culture 2030” Meeting intends at creating a meeting place between artists, curators and cultural professionals, on the one hand, institutional cultural managers, local and regional cultural stakeholders, on the other hand, as well as theorists and scientists. The objective is a debate on the sustainable cultural development of the Greek cities and regions over the next decade, as well as the good practices in terms of cultural decentralisation in Europe in recent decades.
Through this four-day meeting, which includes keynote speeches by Greek and foreign artists and cultural professionals, working groups, workshops, networking meetings, we approach issues such as cultural policy, artistic production, institutional framework, partnerships and good cultural and artistic practices. The meeting includes a programme of art events that enables participants to meet the contemporary artistic scene and to get in touch with artists active both in Greece and abroad.
To whom is addressed?
The Meeting is addressed to artists, cultural managers, cultural professionals (curators, production managers etc.), local authorities (municipal and regional authorities, municipal and regional councilors, employees of municipal and regional cultural institutions), architects, urban planners, academics, researchers, local organisations in Eleusis and citizens of Eleusis and the surrounding area.
