THE HATCHERY

VLYCHA – Ship Graveyard

A public sculptural intervention that proposes a poetic interpretation of the underwater habitats inspired by the architecture of oysters. It involves a complex function encompassing the purification of polluted waters and ensuring the ecological well-being of the marine waters in an environmentally vulnerable area, such as VLYCHA. The scuplture was created within the framework of Mystery 42 Futuring Waters.

Can work become a source of meaning and connection?
Is it possible to reimagine our neighbourhoods, food, and economy—as acts of care?
And ultimately, what does it mean to “re-enchant the world”?
