The Cultterra youth group presents the activity Thirstdays. The title is a pun on “Thursday”, the day of the group’s weekly meeting, and “thirst”, denoting the city youth’s thirst for art and culture. The main lines of the activity run in succession from the most informal activities to the most organised and open to public events. The activities scheduled for December are “We meet local artists”, “We drink Greek coffee”, “We skate at the ARKOPOLIS” and “We celebrate diversity”.

Argyro Ibrahimi was born in 1994 in Tirana, Albania. When she was a child, she emigrated to Greece with her family. From an early age she showed an interest in the arts, especially painting, and studied fashion design. She spent three years working at the studio of Celia Kritharioti, where she managed to immerse herself in aesthetics and fashion. Painting remains her hobby and her means of expression. She believes that love is the greatest force on the planet and when you experience it you feel inner peace. This is the feeling she tries to convey and experience through her work.
The exhibition will feature paintings whose theme will be transferred to embroidered clothes, and the image will be accompanied by music in an attempt for the viewer to fully experience the emotion.

** QUEER ELEUSIS **
18/12-21/12 γνωριmeet the locals: Asparagus plumosa
18:00-21:00, OSE – Elefsina Old Railway Station
Asparagus has been making zines to express her feelings as well as the feelings of the public since 2017. Now comics too! Recurring themes in her work are the exculpation of vulnerability, self-awareness, naturalism, body positivity and the empowerment of communities and individuals through a queer feminist perspective. She chooses to create experiential works, while her comics touch on a slice of life. She loves watercolours, inks and pencils, and likes to hide something of the plant kingdom in her works, a habit she picked up after studying at the Department of Agriculture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Asparagus plumosa is, after all, the ornamental asparagus!
Friday 22/12 | Elefsina no longer keeps secrets
THERE IS AN LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY IN THE THRIASIAN FIELD!
By promoting innovative cultural, artistic and social activities, the Cultterra youth group is proud to announce a major queer celebration in the area of the Thriasian Plain. The celebration aims to promote diversity, strengthen community and provide a safe space for expression for all individuals. The day-long programme includes discussions and updates on the queer community, live acoustic music, a film screening and a karaoke party!
The exhibition of local artist Asparagus will also continue.
Stay tuned for more information.
