The opening of the exhibition & two public discussions took place for the two great artists of Elefsina.
The opening of the exhibition Mystery 199 Vangelis Tsakos – Thanos Tsingos took place last Wednesday 17 April at the Old Town Hall of Elefsina in an ambience of great joy and deep emotions.
People from the close and the wider circuit of the two artists, as well as a large amount of citizens from Elefsina, Aspropyrgos and the city of Athens joined with great enthusiasm the opening of the exhibition and the two public discussions, which complement the show, emphasizing a substantial presence. The exhibition is running until the 19 May.
On the opening day, the discussion focused on the work of photographer Vangelis Tsakos with the participation of Dimitris Georgoulis, George Pavlopoulos, Asimina Michaloutsou and Georgia Liapi and moderated by Michail Marmarinos, General Artistic Director of 2023 Elefsina. A few days later, on the afternoon of Sunday 21 April, a discussion dedicated to Thanos Tsingos was held with the participation of Mary Tsingou, Dimitris Tsingos and Thanos Tsingos and moderated by the curator of the exhibition, Olga Hatzidakis, followed by the screening of the rare short documentary dedicated to the great artist.
In both discussions, the speakers shared with the audience personal experiences and rare stories, illuminating different aspects of the life and work of Vangelis Tsakos and Thanos Tsigos, who left an indelible mark on the world of art beyond the boundaries of their city, Elefsina.
