An unconventional opera by the renowned performing arts company Novoflot.
Starting from the Old Town Hall of Elefsina, walking through closed venues, such as small shops or inactive businesses, the artistic group Novoflot will present an innovative walking music-theatrical performance, walking – together with the spectators – along the pedestrian street of Nikolaidou Street, along the Archaeological Site, ending up via Kanellopoulou Street at the open theatre of the Old Oil Mill Factory. This is the third part of the “Everything Open” trilogy that links the choir culture with another aspect of cultural heritage that has been particularly affected by the pandemic: retail, entertainment and hospitality.
The first two parts of the trilogy were created in Berlin in 2022 while for Elefsina Novoflot are developing the third part of the project, in collaboration with the distinguished Greek composer and pianist in both classical/contemporary and jazz/improvised music Antonis Anissegos, award-winning saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist from New Zealand Hayden Chisholm and a wide range of diverse musical ensembles, including the vibrant ensemble dissonArt from Thessaloniki, the Belgrade gypsy formation DK Heroes.
