2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture presents Mystery 67 Amoli – Hydrous Encounters of Growers in Stubborn Trees, in the framework of the 2nd Ecoculture Festival 2024.

An action centred on pistachio cultivation in Western Attica and the challenges posed by climate change and the region’s diverse identities, organised by Emilia Bouriti and the artistic platform Syn+Ergasia in collaboration with the Laboratory of Soft Energy Applications and Environmental Protection of the University of West Attica. The event comprises a walking tour, participatory action, artistic installation, Arvanite songs, a lecture on proper water management and energy communities. Moreover, it brings together producers from Aspropyrgos, Elefsina, and Megara to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and establish a network.

Demeter and Agricultural Cultivation in the Post-Industrial Thriasian Field is the theme of the Mystery 67 Amoli project, using contemporary art, participation, experiential knowledge, and science as tools, it highlights the importance of agricultural cultivation in Elefsina and Aspropyrgos, as well as the need for the sustainability of the Arvanite rural communities.
