Elefsina, European Capital of Culture for 2023 participates in a campaign showcasing Europe, launched by the candidate city for 2026 Trenčín (Slovakia), extending an open call to everyone to share a photo of their favorite location in Elefsina, and highlighting its beauties at a European level. The call opens on Monday, May 3, and closes on Saturday, May 8. The aim is to collect photos from all over Europe, which will be presented on Europe Day, May 9th, celebrating the diversity and beauty of our common ground and offering the opportunity for a virtual journey to these wonderful places!
In order to participate, all you have to do is upload a photo of your favorite spot in Elefsina, as a post or as a story, with the following hashtags: #curiouseurope #culturecuriosity #trencin2026 #homeateurope, #2023elevsis, tagging @trencin2026 and @2023elevsis, and adding the location (e.g. Elefsina, Greece).
On May 9, all photos from all over Europe will be posted as an album on the social media of Trenčín 2026, creating Europe’s largest online photo album.
Trencin is one of the three cities in Slovakia competing for the title of European Capital of Culture for 2026. The other two cities are Nitra and Žilina.
