An exhibition – tribute to those who worked and work in the city of Elefsina and the wider West Attica region. 3,000 workers of Elefsina and the surrounding region are building the largest Terracotta Army in contemporary history, dedicated to the city of Elefsina!
The internationally recognized Colombian artist Juan Esteban Sandoval is looking for 3000 contributors to create the Terracotta Army of Elefsina, an exhibition – tribute to the working class of the city and the wider West Attica region. A monument to those who have contributed to the creation of the current image of the region with their work, their physical and intellectual effort, their lives.
Are you an employee of a factory, industry or company located in Elefsina and the wider area of West Attica?
Are you retired and want to be part of the Terracotta Army?
Please fill in the participation form that you will find: a. at the Old Town Hall, b. at the West Attica Labour Union Building (EKEDA) and c. ONLINE FORM HERE.
For each one of you who will participate, the artist will create a handmade clay helmet, on which will be engraved elements or words that describe you. All the clay handmade helmets that will be produced will be displayed in a large exhibition in the renovated former Iris Factory. They will then be distributed to the participants as a memory of this giant artistic project.
