2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture presents the visual art and research project Mystery 15 The Living Museum, by the visual artist and Emeritus Professor of the School of Architecture of the NTUA, Vana Xenou. It is an inticate artistic project that combines original research and archive compilation methodology, visual artwork and research design approaches for public space. The project attempts to highlight the multiple narratives of Elefsina, making visible the sources of the city’s historical, physical and anthropological existence. At the same time, it incorporates written and oral narratives, as well as illustrations, representations and mappings about the city in the “Archive from the fragility of memory to the need for testimony” in combination with original research papers on Elefsina.
