Mystery 45 Atelier Elefsina 2023

Partners:

The Festival Academy (initiative of the European Festivals Association – EFA) (BE)

Mystery 45 Atelier Elefsina 2023 will offer up to 35 emerging festival managers from all over the world the chance to spend seven days with a group of young and experienced festival leaders, cultural activists, cross-sector experts, and artists in Elefsina, where they will engage in a global conversation about the challenges of today, and the role that festivals, art, and culture can play. The Atelier is about gaining new perspectives, exploring the very essence of festivals – their why and how – in a global context, sharing and exchanging experiences, and reflecting on topics of concern for the participants.

The Atelier Elefsina 2023 dives into what forms the quintessential core of festivals – the arts, artists, and audiences – and tackles all these issues during training. Participants are guided by renowned festival managers who share their rich experiences and are there to answer questions along the way, acting not only as lecturers but also as true mentors, giving participants frank and open insights into their careers – that is, into both their successes and their failures.

This programme falls within the framework of a longstanding partnership between 2023 Eleusis and the Festival Academy that has already resulted in the organisation of two regional programmes: the Atelier for Greek Festival Managers (2019) and the Atelier for Art & Production Managers (2021-2022).
