Organised by Circostrada (European Network for Contemporary Circus and Outdoor Arts), Spark is a two-day interdisciplinary laboratory that brings together a selected group of participants from different backgrounds and disciplines in order to focus on a specific topic relating to contemporary circus or outdoor arts.
The main objectives are to make short- and long-term recommendations, propose contextualised solutions and set the groundwork for future resources to be handled by the network. The second edition of Spark will gather some 20 professionals from across Europe on the topic of placemaking through performing arts: the participants will be invited to walk & talk, share experiences and expertise, build common knowledge, and provide concrete recommendations.
On Saturday 17th June, we will discuss the results and recommendations of this two-day workshop and enrich them through an open dialogue with the public. This event is built in partnership with ARTCENA, Le Plus Petit Cirque du Monde, Elefsina European Capital of Culture, Institut français Paris, Institut français Greece, Teatroskop – South Eastern European Network for Performing Arts, and is supported by the European Union and the French Ministry of Culture.
