After its screening at the 26th International Poetry Festival in Medellin, Colombia the documentary “Mourning Rock” of Philippos Koutsaftis will be screened with free entrance at the open coastal amphitheater of Scironio Museum Polichronopoulou on Saturday, July 16 at 9.00 pm. and it will be followed by a brief presentation of the documentary’s director. The documentary “Mourning Rock” is a wandering of almost ten years in Eleusis. A meeting with the inhabitants, a tribute to the sanctity and also the impression of the destruction as a result of the industrialization. The documentary of Philippos Koutsaftis, sixteen years after its first viewing, comes to prove again its timeless value. The music curation of Konstantinos Bita and the harmonious narration of the director, completes the unique scenery, which has been elaborately chosen for the documentary “Mourning Rock”. The screening is organized by Eleusis 2021 in collaboration with the Scironio Museum Polichronopoulou and the Scientific Association “Alumni of the American Universities”. We would like to thank for their support the Municipality of Eleusis and the Municipality of Megara.
