Introducing the key features that make up an ecosystem and exploring the role a collective can play in influencing it. The presentation will conclude with the mapping of the Greek socio-cultural ecosystem by the participants.

14.00 – 16.00, Participatory photography: Discovery, teamwork and dialogue through the lens

Speaker: Dimitra Ermeidou, Visual photographer and specialist in therapeutic photography, Eyes of Light

A practical workshop where through participatory-experiential photography the activation of a community and the building of a team is supported.

17.00 – 19.00, Empowering Communities

Speakers: Vivian Doumba, Urban Planner-Spatial Engineer and Urban Geographer, specialized in creative and inclusive placemaking & Iris Perouliou Sergaki, Architect and Urban – Spatial Planner, STIPO Greece.

Many times we talk or hear about empowering a community through which people can recognize their connection to a place, seek their common vision and goals, develop their skills, improve their access to resources, and many other aspects of their collective identity and journey. But what do we really mean? How can community empowerment contribute to active citizen participation and enhance democracy? How do we define and frame a “community” after all? In the context of the two-hour embodied workshop, we try to reflect on the above questions. The workshop is open to everyone, both Eleusinians and non-Eleusinians, who are concerned with the above questions.

How can the information of an organization or a project reach all people inclusively? And why is inclusion in communication now deemed necessary? Through simple steps and practical exercises, participants will understand the use of basic tools for the accessibility of people with sensory impairments in digital communication channels.

The workshop will delve into the organizational development methodologies of collective space management ventures.

One of the most important centers in ancient Greece, Eleusis, has attracted mystics, travelers and visitors throughout the centuries. People with a passion in archeology and the history of Elefsina, invite all for a walk to witness the monuments that no one knew were worth discovering in order to experience the cultural heritage of Elefsina.
