The inauguration of the Mystery 12_ Eleusis + Revolution took place with great success on Friday, June 3, in the parking lot of the Old Oil Mill, under the supervision of Erato Koutsoudakis and the scientific supervision of Stefanos Kavallierakis, with the valuable contribution of local historians and collectors.
A separate historical exhibition that develops in two parts that converse and complement each other: the in situ art installation “Fragments” and the narrative historical installation “War Scene”. Rare archival material brings to the fore the theme of war, which unfortunately seems as relevant as ever.
In the context of the narrative Exhibition-Installation entitled “Eleusis + Revolution”, the 2023 European Capital of Culture invites the public to support the work of the Eleusis Structure, which houses refugees from Ukraine.

On Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 June with a donation in the contribution box that will be located in the exhibition space, in the Parking of the Old Oil Mill. The proceeds will be used to purchase furniture and basic necessities to support the Refugee Structure.

A few words about the Structure of Elefsina:
The Structure of Elefsina was created after the immediate need for transportation and housing of refugees both from islands and from makeshift temporary structures in Athens for their dignified stay in places that meet all health and safety measures. More specifically, the place belongs to the Shipyards of Elefsina and it is an old School of Apprenticeship of the Shipyards of Elefsina. Initially, the structure housed unaccompanied minors but then due to global developments, from March 2022 it accommodates exclusively displaced citizens from Ukraine.
The Structure of Elefsina is located at the 28th km of the Old National Road Elefsina – Megaron, Elefsina, with PC 19200.
