With great pleasure Eleusis 2021 welcomed Mr. Shuji Kogi, Secretary General of the EU-Japan Fest to Elefsina. EU-Japan Fest is a Japanese Committee which promotes and supports Japan-related programmes to cities that have been nominated European Capitals of Culture. EU-Japan Fest has been an active organisation since 1992 and has already collaborated with more than 40 ECoC across the European continent.
After visiting this year’s European Capitals of Culture, Aarhus and Pafos, as well as cities that will host the ECoC title within the coming years, such as Plovdiv, Galway, Rijeka, Timisoara and Novi Sad, Mr. Shuji Kogi visited Elefsina.
The artistic director of Eleusis 2021, Kelly Diapouli, together with the mayor of Elefsina, Giorgos Tsoukalas and Giorgos Skianis, coordinator of Eleusis 2021 team hosted Mr. Shuji Kogi in Elefsina and had the opportunity to share with him our vision for the “Transition to EUphoria” and to discuss about a possible future collaboration regarding the promotion of cultural exchange between local and Japanese cultural actors and artists in the following years.
