In October 2017, a delegation of Eleusis 2021 presented its first progress report to the European Union’s Expert Panel in charge of the European Capitals of Culture selection and monitoring in Brussels. In its monitoring report sent to Eleusis 2021, the Panel stated its assessment and recommendations and invited Eleusis 2021 to submit: 1/ an updated governance, organisational and staffing plan; 2/ an updated cultural programme with related budgetary overview and key milestones; 3/ a document referring to the Panel recommendations by end of March 2018.
