In collaboration with the Research Team of the Laboratory of Tourism Planning, Research and Policy of the Department of Planning and Regional Development of the School of Engineering of the University of Thessaly, Eleusis 2021 invited the residents of Eleusis in an Open Participatory Consultation on our City’s future.
Under the guidance of Dr. Kleanthis Sirakoulis, Assistant Professor of Quantitative Methods in Developmental Projects in the University of Applied Sciences of Thessaly, we invited the citizens to join us for a coffee, that can change our city! For a participatory dialogue, during which we will explore our city’s future, through posing key questions that concern us all.
“The City’s involvement in claiming the title of European Capital of Culture 2021 and the impact of these efforts on residents’ everyday reality. Can the Capital of Culture improve the residents’ standard of living and to what extent?”
The purpose of this debate was to envisage the kind of Eleusis we would like to see in 2021.
The ideas arisen in these open meetings were collected by the working group and will be seriously taken into account in formulating our city’s cultural strategy for the years to come.
Eleusis 2021 urged all city residents to participate in this public debate concerning our local community’s future.
The research “A coffee that changes your City” constitutes an open participatory consultation, based on the World Cafe Method and took place on June 23rd and 24th at Rodon Café (Pagkalou 2, Eleusis).
