The Municipality of Elefsina and the 2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture invite artists to co-shape the image of the city. The project concerns the creation of the Telephone Distribution Boxes located in Elefsina and Magoula, with themes inspired from the city of Elefsina, its history and culture, as well as the main axes of the ECoC.
Starting from the emblematic landmarks of Elefsina, the Clock that dominates the Archaeological Site, the emblematic Saturn, the Iris and with the gaze turned to the ancient myth of Persephone, the Upper and the Under World, we give color to the neighborhoods.
The action is going to start as a pilot and the goal is to turn the city into an open gallery, which will be slowly revealed to its walkers.
