This is an important project for the city, that has been waiting for many years and now, after the signing of the contract with the contractor, starts within a schedule.
The renovation of Heroes Square will give new life to Elefsina, since this point is also the trademark of our Municipality.
With substantial and aesthetic interventions, the Municipality of Elefsina is progressing gradually but also purposefully in the promotion of Elefsina & Magoula, in view of the great organization of the Cultural Capital in 2023.
For the start of the works, the Mayor of Elefsina, Argyris Oikonomou said: “We are satisfied that after many years of delays, we managed to launch, after targeted actions, this great reconstruction project for Elefsina. The first thing we did before the start of the works was the contact with the shopkeepers around the square, as the last thing we want is to hinder the operation of the shops, so I ask for your understanding for the next period and the inconvenience that the works may create. “Our little friends who will not be able to play in the square for the next few months. But the result will be permanent and will reward us all!”
