Eleusis 2021 and ODC Ensemble Company invite you at the European Forum “Creative Lenses Forum: Funding Alternatives” on Saturday 29th April 2017 at 10 am. that will be held at the Old Oil Mill Factory in Eleusis.
How to develop viable business models for cultural organizations without compromising their artistic integrity, mission and values? Many cultural organizations and artists around Europe struggle to find new ways to survive and develop in times of changed and declining financing structures for culture. This is the reason why “Creative Lenses”, a unique cooperation project funded by the Creative Europe program of the European Commission, has been conceived. During 4 years, a unique partnership of 13 cultural centers, universities, city authorities, networks and cultural agencies research and test new business models together with a wide range of cultural players throughout Europe. The aim of the project is to strengthen and develop the business capacity and sustainability of European arts and cultural organizations. The key objective of Creative Lenses is to research, devise and test new business and management models for the sector that can be replicated and then used by a wide range of arts and cultural players throughout Europe.
The Creative Lenses Forum brings together thinkers and managers from art and cultural organizations, business and academia to explore business model innovation in the arts. The event combines lectures by international guests in the cultural field, discussions and the following workshops:
Workshops:
- Making Money is Art (and good business is the best art) by Paul Bogen – Arts and culture project manager, consultant, fundraiser and trainer
- Find your genius and passion and let it be your path to success by Susanne Danig – Performing arts producer, management consultant and international innovator
- Top tips to successful European Projects by Chrissie Faniadis – Consultant, lecturer and project manager with a long-standing interest in European Affairs, specialized in EU policy for the arts and culture sector
- A workshop about Festivals by Trevor Davies – Artistic director, specializing on the relationship between arts/culture and city/regional development, and also specializing on issues of international and intercultural, contemporary arts and culture
