The dance theater performance “Memories for Life”, which was greeted with enthusiasm and warmly comments from viewers across Europe, comes to Eleusis!
Through a narrative journey and under the guidance of the artistic director of the Viirus Theater in Finland Maria Lundström, seven actors from three different European countries are transferred from the past to the present and from the “extreme” 20th century to the “uncertain” 21stcentury. The use of body expression, singing, dancing and enjoyable multilingual dialogues is creating a nostalgic emotion and spontaneous laughter, that talks for the journey of life till the end, the dreams and memories, the young and the old.
The “Memories for Life” is part of the European intercultural project “Meeting the Odyssey”, which is around the journey of Odyssey and modern “Odysseys”, that this year is sailing in Greece with the historic sailboat “Hoppet”.
The last performance of “Memories for Life” in Greece will be held at the Old Oil Mill Factory in Eleusis on Wednesday 29 June at 22.00. Admission to all performances is free to the public.
The project “Meeting the Odyssey” is funded by the “Culture” programme of European Commission. The events to be held in Eleusis are funded by the Region of Attica and are carried out in cooperation with the Aeschylean Festival 2016.
