Cultterra at the European Conference “SoliDARE”, in Poland

The youth group Cultterra, with the support of 2023 Eleusis, traveled to Gdynia, Poland, as part of SoliDARE 2024.

SoliDARE is an international event organized by SALTO, aimed at building an active community within the framework of the European Solidarity Corps. It is a space specifically designed for organizations, solidarity project groups, and youth leaders who are participating or wish to participate in the European Solidarity Corps.

With the participation of professionals, organizations, and institutions from around the world, the international meeting became a hub for networking and exploring common challenges. A meaningful discussion with the European Commission took place during the conference, while Cultterra’s representative, Katerina Begia, participated in relevant workshops, gaining skills in managing interpersonal conflicts and maintaining motivation, both for the team itself and for volunteers.

During the trip, attendees visited the Gdynia Library, which functions as a safe and open space for young people and, in collaboration with a local organization, hosts international volunteers. They also visited the city of Gdańsk, learning its history and how the war destroyed it. Furthermore, during SoliDARE 2024, participants had the opportunity to learn more about Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programs, as well as how to manage future volunteers.

The next SoliDARE 2025 will take place in Tunisia.
