The visit of the 2nd High School of Elefsina at the Benaki Museum / 138 Pireos Str. was completed with great success on October 20, as part of the Exhibition Mystery_29 Elefsina. Raw Museum. The students were guided through the Exhibition, learned valuable information about the city of Elefsina, its history and its people, and participated in the rich educational and research programme of 2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture.A total of 400 students from high schools of Elefsina and Magoula are expected to visit the exhibition.
Mystery_29 Elefsina. Raw Museum, curated by architect-museologist Erato Koutsoudaki,includes talking portraits, photographic documents by Greek and international artists, lithographs, rare collectors’ exhibits and valuable museum objects, composing a rare journey into the mysteries and uniqueness of a city—a timeless reference point for all of Greek history. The Exhibition will be open until November 27, with free admission.
Mystery_29 Elefsina. Raw Museum is one of the three strategic projects of 2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture, representing the theme “People – Society,” one of the three main axes of its programme. The exhibition will also feature samples of projects related to the two other themes: Mystery_99 THE ARK – LANDSHIP, the largest pilgrimage procession in the 3,500-year history of the city as part of the theme “Environment” and Mystery_111 Eleusis Terracotta Army,an emblematic project dedicated to those who have worked or continue to work in Elefsina, as part of the theme “Labor.”
