2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture invites the women of Elefsina to create the <\/strong>CH<\/strong>\u00d3<\/strong>R<\/strong>\u0395<\/strong>S<\/strong> of Elefsina.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture,<\/strong> as part of its artistic programme that will culminate during the title year, 2023, organizes Mystery_96\u00a0 CH\u00d3RES<\/strong>, inviting women from the local community of Elefsina and the wider region to participate in the formation of the choral ensemble CH\u00d3R\u0395S of Elefsina <\/strong>under the artistic supervision of Marina Satti.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Focusing on music, the CH<\/strong>\u00d3<\/strong>R<\/strong>\u0395<\/strong>S<\/strong> of Elefsina <\/strong>will participate in intensive, choral and broader artistic training courses, which will take place on a weekly basis in Elefsina. Specialized artists – trainers of the basic educational programme, as well as facilitators of complementary activities and seminars, will deliver lessons focused on the healthy use of the voice, familiarization with rhythm and the cultivation of musicality and musical perception (ear training), as well as lessons in kinesiology and dance, acting, body music, music reading and music theory, vocal improvisation and rhythmic education. Upon completion of the programme, CH<\/strong>\u00d3<\/strong>R<\/strong>\u0395<\/strong>S<\/strong> of Elefsina <\/strong>will present the fruits of their lessons in special performances in Elefsina and the surrounding area.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The main objective of the action is to activate the local community and to disseminate part of the artistic programme of the Capital of Culture in the public space. Of key importance, however, is the gradual formation of a group, which will inspire a spirit of cooperation and sociability in its members, so that each individual can acquire a personal place and voice within the group.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The members of the choir will be selected after an audition by an independent committee, consisting of Marina Satti, artistic director of the female vocal ensemble CH<\/strong>\u00d3<\/strong>R<\/strong>\u0395<\/strong>S<\/strong>, conductor Christina Poupalou and kinesiologist Stavros Ikbal.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
