From that point on to the present day, the Attiko School has kept its finger on the pulse of the city, teaching, learning and growing as an institution.<br \/><br \/>Over the course of this decade, the programme has assembled valued friends and collaborators, supporters, believers and devotees, collaborating with major universities and institutions in Greece and abroad, contributing to the creation of the <strong>Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports\u2019 International Network of Ancient Drama<\/strong>, and carving out its own path in the cultural life of the city. The school\u2019s intensive summer programme, featuring teachers from both Greece and abroad, will host a total of 30 students.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>TEACHERS<br \/><\/strong><br \/><strong>AKYLLAS KARAZISIS<\/strong> \u2014 ACTING<br \/><strong>MARTHA FRINTZILA <\/strong>\u2014 ACTING<br \/><strong>CAMILO BENTANCOR<\/strong> \u2014 ACTING WITH MASKS<br \/><strong>YIANNIS DESPOTAKIS<\/strong> \u2014 VOCAL IMPROVISATION<br \/><strong>NATALIA LAMPADAKI <\/strong>\u2014 POLYPHONIC SINGING<br \/><strong>SIMONE MONGELLI<\/strong> \u2014 BODY PERCUSSION<br \/><strong>IRO KONTI <\/strong>\u2014 KINESIOLOGY \/ MODERN DANCE<br \/><strong>NIKOLETTA FRINTZILA <\/strong>\u2014 INTRALINGUAL TRANSLATION<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><br \/><strong>EVENTS (Free admission on a first come, first served basis)<\/strong><br \/><br \/>Centring on the main characters of Aeschylus\u2019s <em>Oresteia<\/em> trilogy, the Attiko School convenes the \u201c<strong>Ecclesia\u201d<\/strong>, the Citizen\u2019s Assembly, starting a dialogue with the people on the issues that emerge from the trilogy and remain highly relevant to this day.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>We start a conversation about <strong>the &#8220;musts&#8221; and &#8220;forevers&#8221; of the <\/strong><strong><em>Oresteia <\/em><\/strong><strong>trilogy and of society,<\/strong> about the institution of family and the unwritten laws of submission, about women in power, about victims of the patriarchy, about women who are perceived as masculine and men who are perceived as weak, about loyalty and infidelity, about pedophilia, about the duty of a son and that of a daughter, about &#8220;collateral&#8221; damages, about warmongering, about the commodification, exploitation and abuse of women, about guilt and forgiveness, about human and divine justice.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>We discuss the modern Aeschylus and the past and future of theatre in Europe and the world with guest speakers from Greece and abroad.
