{"id":5926,"date":"2016-09-26T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-09-25T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/2023eleusis.eu\/discussion-of-the-municipal-council-on-the-bidbooks-submission-3\/"},"modified":"2022-10-04T22:23:27","modified_gmt":"2022-10-04T19:23:27","slug":"discussion-of-the-municipal-council-on-the-bidbooks-submission-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/2023eleusis.eu\/en\/discussion-of-the-municipal-council-on-the-bidbooks-submission-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Discussion of the Municipal Council on the bidbook&#8217;s submission"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Shortly before\u00a0the final bidbook of Eleusis\u2019 bid\u00a0as European Capital of Culture in 2021 gets submitted, it will be discussed today Tuesday, September 27th in the Eleusis City Council.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The deadline\u00a0for the bidbook\u2019s submission is Wednesday 5th\u00a0of\u00a0October, and its voting\u00a0by the City Council is a prerequisite so that the city\u2019s application will be accepted at the final bid phase.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Since we are still in a\u00a0competitive process, the content of the final bidbook cannot be disclosed at the time and it is available\u00a0only to the City Council members. The final bidbbooks of Eleusis, Kalamata and Rhodes will be published by the Ministry of Culture\u00a0a few days before the final presentation of the three shortlisted\u00a0cities before\u00a0the Selection Committee\u00a0on 10 November.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The next steps of the bid process are the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The deadline for the bidbook\u2019s submission is on October 5 at the Ministry of Culture. On November 8, a delegation of the\u00a0Selection Committee\u00a0will visit Eleusis to get to know\u00a0better the city, its residents and its stakeholders. On November 10, all the shortlisted\u00a0cities will present their bidbooks in front of the Selection Committee. The three cities will present their bidbooks in alphabetical order, starting with the presentation of Eleusis at 10 a.m. The presentations will be held in Athens in a place designated by the Ministry of Culture. On 11 November at 12:15, the Chair\u00a0of the Selection\u00a0Committee\u00a0will announce the winning city. The announcement will be made in Athens in a place to be named by the Ministry of Culture. The presentations of the shortlisted cities are closed to the public and carried out by a delegation of the\u00a0working group of each city, but the result announcement is open to the
