The Eleusis2021 comittee just before presenting the nomination folder of Elefsina for Capital of Culture in 2021 invites all professional and amateur photographers to grab their cameras and shoot the city and its secrets spots and elements.<\/span><\/p>\n

E<\/span>ach contestant may submit photos in all categories, as described below, having in mind that the nomination of Elefsina for Capital of Culture in 2021, is in principle a participatory process in which, each one of us is trying to reach the common goal of being Europe\u2019s Capital of Culture for the year 2021 and keep producing culture in any possible way.<\/p>\n

\n

Everyone who will present photographic material is free in terms of numbers of participations in each thematic category. The submission of photos will take place by e-mail (info@eleusis2021.eu) while each contestant should mention full contact details, and some information for each photo submitted. photos submitted by e-mail, can simultaneously be posted on social networks by the contestant or the organizer accompanied by the keywords #eleusis2021 #eleusis2021photocontest, the name of the contestant and at least one keyword concerning the subject category.<\/p>\n

The thematic categories are:<\/p>\n

1. natural and human environment of the city and the surroundings, the results and consequences of past bad practices of industrial activity, industry and the coexistence of the urban environment, the sea, the air, the soil, the earth. How does the natural environment reacts to human activity.
\n2. The city as a landscape, the diversity of the city, the landmarks, the different neighborhoods, the location of internal migration since the beginning of the century, its distinctive features, the local population.
\n3. Innovation, all the innovative methods that have been applied since ourdays and are being converted into a good future scenario for action, the prospect, the hope and the indication for growth and development, practices that reveal innovation and future action.
\n4. The contemporary cultural creation, any constant preoccupation with the arts and all methods of expression, theater, dance, music, visual arts, cinema ect.
\n5. The cultural heritage, from ancient times to modern industrial monuments and the postindustrial era. The urban heritage, city landscapes that are considered as heritage, any machinery, equipment, infrastructure, automation elements of earlier times, intangible practices, other cultural elements.<\/p>\n

The Eleusis2021 committee might include some of the photos in the final nomination folder for the first round of selection of candidate cities. For the photos that might be selected for the folder a prize of 60 \u20ac\/photo will be given.<\/p>\n

The deadline for submission of photos is the 17th of November 2015, while clarifying questions may be submitted to:\u00a0info@eleusis2021.eu
\nConcerning the editing of the the photos:<\/p>\n

  1. Size 20 x 30<\/li>\n
  2. Analysis 300dpi<\/li>\n
  3. File Format jpeg<\/li>\n
