2023 Eleusis welcomes October with Ecoculture Festival, that will take place from October 3 to 6 in Elefsina and the broader region of Thriasian Field, as well as in neighboring cities such as the Municipalities of Aspropyrgos, Korinthia, Loutraki, Perachora and Agioi Theodoroi. The festival is centered around four distinct themes: the concept of ecoculture and how it impacts and relates to life today. The sky, light pollution and its effects on the immediate environment. The water and the challenges the planet faces regarding its scarcity. The Earth, wildfires and the climate crisis.<\/p>\n

Mystery 20 Performing Arts Initiator \u2212 Narrative Archaeology, one of the most significant action-models of 2023 Eleusis programme, returns curated and directed by Gemma Hansson Carbone, in collaboration with Hliana Kaladami, on 2 – 5 and 9 – 12 October at the iconic archaeological site of Elefsina. A groundbreaking fusion of performance art and archaeology, combining humanity’s inherent love for storytelling with the mystical awe of intergenerational connections that envelop every visitor to historical monuments. With the support of the Ephorate of Antiquities of West Attica.<\/p>\n

7, 14 & 21 OCT<\/strong><\/p>\n

HUMAN IMPRINTS
\nCINE ELEUSIS<\/h4>\n

On October 7, 14, and 21, the project Human Imprints will take place at Cine Eleusis, featuring a series of screenings of short and feature-length documentaries by Greek creators, focusing on the themes of ecology, archaeology and human geography. 13 documentaries, almost all of which will be screened for the first time in Elefsina, in the presence of their creators. \u0391 collaboration between 2023 Eleusis and the non-profit organization “ELEFSINA – ARTS AND CULTURE”.<\/p>\n

17 – 20\u00a0OCT<\/strong><\/h4>\n

PHAROS BI SHORT FILM FESTIVAL\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>
\nCINE ELEUSIS<\/h4>\n

From October 17 to 20, the Pharos BI Short Film Festival will be held at Cine Eleusis, conceived and curated by Michalis Tigiridis. This four-day international competitive festival showcases works by emerging filmmakers from around the world. The festival will also feature parallel events, including photography exhibitions and talks about Greek cinema. The festival is supported by 2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture, the Municipality of Elefsina and the Municipality of Mandra – Eidyllia.<\/p>\n
