MYSTERY 68 Citizens take over the role of narrator\/guide\/Stalker and invite us to interactive, cultural experiences in the public landscape. A project to co-create walking routes and city games in collaboration with the local community.
14, 15, 21, 22 OCT A transmedia community project aiming at the creation of a radio station by the city\u2019s residents. During the open days, the public can visit the station\u2019s studio and attend radio-related lectures, screenings, discussions and events.
ALL YEAR ROUND<\/h4>\nMYSTERY 66 The youth group Cultterra (formerly Youth Labs) presents its very own project Thirstdays. Its structure progresses from the most informal activities to events that are most formal and open to the public.<\/p>\n
CONCEPT – DESIGN: 2023 Eleusis
OCT Reframe Eleusis is a collective social activity featuring art, education and research. It invites young people from Elefsina and other areas of the Region of Attica to participate in a programme focusing on photography and visual culture, in order to create original photographic works inspired by the Elefsinian landscape.
WORKS IN PUBLIC SPACE<\/h4>\nMYSTERY 89 IRIS Factory (Anastasiou Milissi & Mouriki Str.)
Five lighting installations in various parts of the city, which make up a luminous route. The five bright rings correspond to the six colours of Iris, which proudly accompanied the Kore [Daughter] for as many months on her earthly journey.<\/p>\n

MYSTERY 48 Five years after the creation of the installation Photosynaxis in Ano Elefsina, pre-existing and new lighting elements will appear in a novel composition forming an illuminated mural in the area of the IRIS factory, as part of a process contributing to its creative reuse.
ALL YEAR ROUND<\/h4>\nMYSTERY 144 Asking people to abandon things they once loved. An interactive installation for which the public is invited to offer up objects that will become artworks, seemingly hovering before an Elefsinian backdrop.<\/p>\n

SEPT-DEC An empty, deserted and abandoned space was transformed into a fertile garden. In this space, through activations\/performances, a revival of the narrative of ancient Eleusis and ancient Greece will be attempted, as well as their interconnection with the recent and modern history of the city.
MYSTERY 146 The Transitions to Light art installation comprises scrolling LED signs placed at select points across the city of Elefsina. These illuminated signboards are programmed with short \u201ctexts of transition\u201d that conceptually contrast the advertising copy they normally screen.
PERMANENTLY IN PUBLIC SPACE<\/h4>\nMYSTERY 118 Through Rupture Comes the Flow is an installation of diverse yet complementary materials that allegorically point to Elefsina\u2019s different historical periods from antiquity to the present day, and the diverse origins of its populations.
MYSTERY 95 The Epiphany in-situ installation is set on an Elefsina seafront pier \u2013 a place associated with arrival, waiting, and departure. An epiphany is an emergence (a coming into view, or a visible surface), as when the materiality of an object is revealed or, metaphorically speaking and in accordance with some doctrines, when there is some manifestation of the divine.
MYSTERY 4 The original lighting installation Light Sgraffito is the result of participatory design in workshops with residents of Elefsina, drawing inspiration from the anthropological and folk traditions of the island of Chios, particularly from the medieval technique known as \u201cXysta.\u201d<\/p>\n

What a Lovely Spot What if healing were another means of assertion? What if a collective voice could be heard as a singular one? Taking a romantic meeting place at the Elefsina pier as a starting point, Timothy Laskaratos and the Cultterra group co-author and interpret a possible love story through this epigraphic work.<\/p>\n
