It is a creation of the Akoo.o team, consisting of Dana Papachristou, Giorgos Samantas, Sofia Grigoriadou and Nikos Boumparis and is accessible through the <a href=\"https:\/\/echoes.xyz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Echoes.xyz<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The user simply needs to install the application on their mobile phone (smartphone technology), connect a pair of headphones and start wandering around the city center, the archaeological site, the coastal road, the railway lines, the Old Olive Mill. The sound compositions are activated as the user passes the points of interest, by the walking speed and by the routes he chooses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The sound walk consists of musical elements on the theme of the intangible cultural heritage of Elefsina, sound samples from the performance Mystery 91 Magnetic Dance, soundscapes of the city and composed soundscapes of characteristic natural, rural and industrial sounds of the wider area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each sound walk is unique as there is freedom of movement and free wandering is encouraged. In this way, different paths and different speeds give rise to different combinations of sound and environment, creating different audio experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Installing the app is free. To hear the play, one needs to be in Elefsina.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>Mystery 91 Magnetic Dance<\/b><\/h5>\n<p>An interactive, augmented technology dance performance to be held in Elefsina and Tokyo simultaneously. It explores the concept of embodiment, and uses envi- ronmentally-friendly digital techniques to create an original narrative that connects the tales Daphnis and Chloe (Longus), and Echo and Narcissus (Ovid) with traditional Japanese Noh theatre and the classic work Izutsu.
